Hair care

Lice away – stay away

This stuff has gotten my through two years of preschool, the start of elementary school, and my youngest starting preschool. It’s just too easy not to make, and you don’t need to spend a million dollars on essential oils. You can use whatever leave in conditioner you have, but you will need to buy a small glass or metal spray bottle. Below is my exact recipe.

What you’ll need:

  1. Spray bottle – glass or metal
  2. Leave in conditioner
  3. Tea tree essential oil
  4. Rosemary essential oil
Filtered water or just tap water
  • Easy directions:
Fill bottle with water – leave enough room to add conditioner.
Add 15 drops of tea tree oil
    Add 5 drops rosemary oil
Add 1 tsp of leave in conditioner
Put the cap on and shake vigorously. You should shake before every use.

The tea tree oil is what does the magic, the Rosemary oil helps the hair grow. You can spray this in their hair mid week as well as after a shower. We use this roughly 3 days a week. Helps with frizz and knots, just let the spray sit on the hair a minute or so. Always start combining the knot from the bottom and work your way up. This is how I brush my girls hair. Especially the curly haired kid.

I really suggest all school aged kids use this. With just this little recipe and under $20 spent, it actually saves you money. Instead of buying kit after kit, paying someone else to do it, trying mayo, or even doctors appointments.

Try it and let me know how you’re liking it.
